Okay, at first I didn't didn't get why Storybird was so cool. But now I love it!
It is a pretty simple website that provides a book template and a library of pictures for you to create your own story. You use their pictures but add your own text. There are tons and tons of pictures to choose from which is pretty cool!
I would love to use this with my kindergarten to make a class book. I thought one cute idea would be to write a story about the different personalities in our classroom! Each student could come to the board and select the critter that reminds them of themselves. Then, we could write a short little sentence that describes why the picture is like the student. I did something like this while playing around with Storybird. Take a look!
